Primary Responsibilities
61 Accountability for sourcing of an assigned category of raw materials for the Asia-Pacific region.
61 Understanding of assigned categories: analyzing the market, preparing sourcing strategies, utilization of a formal RFP process with implementation and tracking of results.
61 Development and formal execution of global procurement strategies and best practices associated with bidding, negotiation, and supplier development.
61 Sourcing of assigned materials on a global basis and defining a global strategic approach together with the Global Category Leader team.
61 Identification, attaining commitment, and implementation of cost-out improvement opportunities to create structural and sustained advantages.
61 Development of “should cost” and “make versus buy” financial models which provide predictive analysis to support decision making.
61 Provide forward looking guidance on trends, threats, and opportunities throughout the complete feedstock and supply chain.
61 Development of contingency and risk mitigation plans.
61 Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
61 Support of new supplier qualifications to expand the supply base.
61 Utilizing e-technologies (i.e,..e-RFP’s, Internet searches, reverse auctions, etc.)
61 Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health
